When it comes to business, there’s an invaluable currency that can often go overlooked amidst the “more important” topics like profit margins and market strategies. That currency is genuine connections

At Modern Homes, our ethos has always been authenticity. Whether it’s through our social media interactions or face-to-face meetings in our showroom, we believe in being true to ourselves and our customers. And this belief was only reinforced at the recent SBS Event 2024 in Birmingham, spearheaded by the well-known entrepreneur Theo Paphitis, where we had the privilege of rubbing shoulders with industry icons like Stacey Solomon – we know, pretty cool!

Now, you might be wondering what the heck a celebrity like Stacey Solomon has to do with the marketing of an interior design company like ours? Well, as it turns out, quite a lot!

Stacey Solomon is not just a familiar face from her days on the X Factor or her recent show “Sort Your Life Out.” She’s also an incredible example of authenticity and genuine connection, both on-screen and off-screen. Meeting her in person at the event only solidified our belief that what you see with Stacey is what you get – unwavering energy, authenticity, and a genuine desire to support others.

Maybe this is the reason she is so successful. She’s built up trust over time and invested in those relationships so people are sure she’s going to do exactly what she says she’s going to do. But how does this relate to our business? Well, like Stacy we believe in connecting with our customers, nurturing these connections, and doing exactly what we say we’re going to do.

One story that really touched us was about Francesca Gubbay, who owns Stamptastic. She had a special day back on August 31st, 2021 (which she affectionately refers to as ‘Stacy Solomon day’), when Stacey Solomon, who has over 4 million followers on Instagram, showed off Stamptastic’s personalised name stamps to her fans. The response was incredible; Stamptastic got flooded with orders—more than 6,000 in just 24 hours—and made £130,000.00 in revenue.

Seeing Francesca and Stacey meet again on stage, with everyone cheering, reminded us of how important real connections are for businesses. There’s this video on Instagram of them hugging, and it’s got nearly a million views, which shows how genuine relationships can really make a big impact, even in today’s very digital world.

At Modern Homes, we’re all about being real and building genuine connections with our clients. Whether you want to spruce up your living space or give your home a full makeover, you can count on us to put our hearts into it. When you work with us, you’re getting authentic people who are passionate about bringing your ideas to life.
