The Colour Of The Year for 2023, Wild Wonder, is described by Dulux as a “positive, glowing tone, inspired by the natural world.” It is a blend of a warm neutral and a green, making it perfect for evoking a nature-inspired look in any home.
Dulux have really treated us this year with by identifying four complementary colour palettes that work with Wild Wonder to really encourage and inspire decorating projects, no matter the moods or styles you like. These are Lush, Buzz, Raw and Flow.
Lush
Lush colours work perfectly with natural elements, so bring in plenty of greenery to complete the look. Whether you stick to a forest scheme or a more earthy-toned atmosphere, the Lush palette colours all complement Wild Wonder.
Buzz
The vibrant shades in their Buzz palette celebrate the biodiversity of a wildflower field. Here they add a splash of bright colour to a wall painted with the Colour of the Year 2023, Wild Wonder, creating a joyful family space that feels playful and refreshing.
If you’d rather step away from the natural inspiration, then use Wild Wonder with the brown and orange tones for a more 60s-influenced look. Used in combination, Buzz shades are perfect for adding a splash of personality without overpowering a room.
Raw
Dulux combined these colours together to represent the wealth of natural materials around us, while bringing warm and enriching vibes to our rooms. Use woven details and wicker furniture to really bring this natural atmosphere together.
It’ll work wonderfully with materials from rattan to willow and bamboo, as well as clay or copper-based accents such as vases and figures.
Flow
Their Flow palette is all about bringing balance to the home and introducing calm and serene colours into areas of relaxation such as the bedroom and the nursery. Mirrors, candles and layering fabrics with blankets, rugs and pillows really bring in the peaceful themes and complement Wild Wonder nicely.
